Aquarium Day

It all started with a dream I had on Thursday night. I dreamed that my friend Janae and I took our kids to the Aquarium in Sandy. I have never been there, but Janae had. So Friday morning after I woke up and remembered what an incredible dream I had, I called Janae. Janae said she could drive because she has an awesome Mazda van-like car and then we could all go together. We had a really great time when we got there. Lilly loved the fish and running wildly through the dark tunnels. We ate lunch there and Janae gave me half of her $7 sandwich.
Driving home was awesome. Lilly screamed the entire way home while Janae's two boys slept. Janae had a small case of road rage and I'm sure she silently told herself that she never wants to have a girl. Way to many hormones!
The aquarium wasnt quite as big as I had invisioned, but we still had a fun day.

Janae was nice enough to let Lilly ride in her stroller. She loved the buckles.

This was Raymond a few minutes before I stupidly told him to go into a scary dark tunnel, he of course cried. What was I thinking?

Fun at the Petting Zoo

Lilly and I went to the Petting Zoo with Megan and her kids on Tuesday and it was so much fun! The kids rode the horses, fed the ducks and goats, and saw so many fun animals. Lilly was super skeptical of getting on the horse but as soon as he started going she loved it! She kept looking at me and smiling her shy smile. It was so cute! We had a great day!

Happy 18 months Lills!

Today Lilly is 18 months old! Its crazy how fast she has grown! In honor of 18 months, I will give you....

"18 Fun Facts about Lilly" 1- She hates to cuddle and snuggle UNLESS you tickle her back and arms

2- She has ALL of her teeth!

3- She doesnt say many words but points and says "uh hu" for things she wants

4- Her dance moves consist of galloping like horse

5- She LOVES fruits and vegetables and dislikes most breads and pastas

6- She is very rough. She destroys everything in her path, like a boy

7- She still puts EVERYTHING in her mouth

8- When she gets frustrated, she shakes and bites her hand or whatever is close to her

9- She absolutely loves animals. She chases dogs at the park and loves to hug cats


10- She climbs on everything. I find her in the windowsill, on top of the piano, on the table...

11- She just learned how to fold her arms

12- She is about 100 decibals louder than other children her age. When she cries she makes others around her cry because it scares them

13- She looks like a giant compared to other 18 month olds. She is 33 inches tall and weighs 26 lbs

14- She has absolutely no stranger anxiety and never has. I could leave her with anyone and she could care less, as long as they have toys.

15- She is content to play by herself all day long, playing with other children seems to give her anxiety

16- She STILL gets wrapped, rocked, and fed a bottle before going to bed (quite embarrassing)

17- She cannot sit still. Church and trips in the car are a nightmare

18- She is a great teeth brusher! She will let me brush them twice a day!

Little Artist

On Monday, Natalie talked me into going to Ikea. I had heard that it wasnt that great and that everything was really cheaply made. But it was incredible! Ya, most of the stuff wasnt my style. But there was some really cute stuff I liked. This is what I brought home......

Lilly loves it and it was only $55! She loves to sit in her chair, stand on her chair, and stand on the table. So thanks to Natalie, I am in love with Ikea!

New House

This is Lilly's new house that my mom made for her. It is the cutest thing ever! Lilly absolutely loves it! My mom is so amazingly talented. Thanks so much mom!

From Spring back to Winter

We have been taking Lilly to the park alot lately since it has been so nice outside. She likes swinging, and the slides but mostly just running. She runs and runs while sometimes stopping to pick up leaves or sticks. Every dog that passes by, she of course freaks out and chases it 'till it's out of site. These pictures were taken a couple of days ago. Ya, Gus is a little big for the slide...

Big Girl in a Little Bed

Though Lilly still drinks from a bottle and is only 17 months old she is now in a big girl bed! She kept throwing herself out of her crib and we knew she needed the change before she broke her neck. She loves her new bed! The first night in her new bed Gus and I watched her excitedly on the video monitor. She gathered up kitty, sippy, and blankie and walked to her door and knocked. She waited, but when no one came she got back in her bed and fell asleep. We were so proud.
