Daddy Love

Lilly is quite obsessed with her "da da". She loves to read books with him, dance with him, wrestle with him, make milkshakes with him, take walks with him, just about everything that involves him. Therefore "Da da" was her first word. It is borderline obsessive.

The Easter Dress she didnt wear

This was Lilly's new Easter Dress, that she was supposed to wear to church on Sunday. But we didnt make it to church. We have church at 1 oclock and Lilly got too tired and fell asleep right before we were supposed to leave. I wasnt about to wake her. So I stayed home with Lilly and Gus went to church without us.

Easter Bunny

I would have posted our Easter pictures sooner but I had my nose in a book. Well actually, 3 books. I started reading 'Twilight' on Saturday and just finished the 3rd book, 'Eclipse' about an hour ago. So I havent left my house or paid any attention to my husband or my child for about 4 days. When I start reading I get really into it, its almost ridiculous. But I must say that I would reread them tomorrow if I could. They were so so good! I loved them so much that I started wishing my husband was a vampire and that my life wasnt so uneventful.

The last couple of Holidays have been very fun for Lilly since last year she was too little to understand them. She was so excited to have a basket full of goodies, courtesy of the Easter Bunny, waiting downstairs for her. We even let her eat her chocolate bunny for breakfast.

Photoshoot

Today Lilly and I were bored and decided to have a photoshoot. Lilly wasnt very cooperative and her hair was totally out of control, so I ended up taking only about 12 pictures. These were the best of the bunch. I must say that I absolutely LOVE my camera! It takes excellent pictures, but I know that they could look so much better if I only knew how to tweek them in Photoshop! I have tried to figure it out on my own, but no luck. Someday I guess.

1- Loving hanging out with my little family
2- Stay at home mom to 4 month old baby Lilly
3- Breastfeeding, breastfeeding, and more breastfeeding! Lilly wanted to eat every ½ hour. Lets just say it wasn’t a great experience.
4- Anxiously awaiting Gus’s graduation in July. On Tuesday’s and Thursday I didn’t see Gus all day until 11:00 at night.
5- Trying to lose my baby weight

1- Scrapbook
2- Hang out with my family and friends
3- Watch Lost, ER, Grey’s Anatomy, The Office, Jon and Kate plus 8, and the list could go on and on and on. Oh the life of a stay at home mom.
4- Read, whenever I have a minute alone. I cant read when Lilly is awake or she will sit on my lap and turn my pages.
5- Spend money! On clothes for Lilly, decorations for my house, and just about anything else I can think of.

1- The usual….Pay Tithing, and of course we would put aside like half in our savings (Gus would make sure of this)

Bad Mothering Skills

So today has been an eventful day. First, Lilly had her first taste of spagetti. Yes, her first. I hate it when she gets dirty and therefore never give her food that is very messy. She absolutely loved it!

Second, I gave her a bath since she was so messy. While she was swimming around I realized she has never had a bubblebath! I am great when it comes to needs, but with wants and fun things I struggle. So I cracked open some bubblebath and gave her some bubbles in her bath. She liked them but was also a little scared of them.

Lastly, as I was rinsing the bubbles off Lilly she stood up and slipped, hitting her face on the side of the tub. She gushed blood and screamed for about 20 seconds and then wanted down so she could play with her toys. Nothing seems to stop her. A few minutes later I noticed that her lip was swollen and a little blue. These pictures dont do it justice. The rest of the day wasnt quite as eventful, we went to Target and cleaned the house.

Straight Hair

The other day I decided I wanted to know what Lilly's hair would look like straight. So I got out my flat iron and went to work. The only way I could her to sit still was to turn on Baby Einstein. She let me do it for about 3 minutes, but it needed about 10 minutes and some Biosilk(because it was so staticy). This was the finished product. I couldnt believe how long and blonde it is. It would have been lots cuter if she would have let me finish, but I still think its cuter curly. But dont worry, she went down for a nap soon after and woke up with tight curls.
